Reflections on Progress Since 1972:
2013 Fair Housing Study
Despite progress made in Fair Housing over the past 40 years in the Cleveland suburbs, HCC’s continuous monitoring reveals that discrimination against minority home buyers still persists. Current audit results, as well as the 2013 Fair Housing Study entitled "RACIAL DISPARITIES IN THE CLEVELAND SUBURBAN HOME SALES MARKET 2008-2012," sponsored by HCC, tell us that testing the housing market must continue in order to insure all home seekers have the same quality, quantity, and content of information and services. Anything less is a violation of the Federal Fair Housing Act.
